Which island was that?

Beautiful Sunsets on anchor are part of the magic of sailing

25th August : Kea to Kalona Bay on the Island of Kythnos

Leaving Kea we were on route to the island of Kythnos but not before a lunch time stop on the east coast of Kea at the Archaeological site of Karthaia.

Site of the Temple of Apollo Pythios and the Temple of Athena along of course with an Amphitheatre. The ruins have been catalogued and were laid out like the pieces of a very challenging jigsaw puzzle.

Think this is going to be a trip of temple and ancient ruins overload.

Kalona Bay People Watching

Our anchorage in the Bay of Kalona on Kythnos was obviously the place to be and the place to be seen. People watching at times is definitely entertaining.
